thanks for the tips, it's really nice that twitter has a bot, and by the use of it my followers could grow really fast. http://hummingbirdtool.com/

If you want to take a look on a bot which provides the scores for the main football (soccer) competitions, check http://twitter.com/twitscores

I just wrote it a week ago. I couldn't find anything similar for checking my flight status on Twitter.
I was doing a lot of traveling and there was no way to easily get flight status from my blackberry. Web browser is just too slow and I didn't want to sign up for more alerts or services. 140 char travels much faster and my BB is always on.

Nice write up on Twitter Bots! I'm the developer of both HappyTwitDay and TweetBeep that you mentioned (thanks!). I just finished a new Twitter bot today, @twanslate - Twitter Translator. Follow @twanslate and then send a dm like 'd twanslate fr Where is the bathroom?' and it will send back the french translation. Lots of languages supported, just do 'd twanslate help' or see http://twanslate.com. Thanks!
